Purpose of the Position

Under close supervision of Finance Officer, the incumbent is expected to perform a range of standardized accounting and relevant clerical duties in supporting Private Sector Fund Raising (PSFR) programme and activities.

 

Major Responsibilities

1. Assists in preparation of periodic accounting records by recording receipts and disbursements (ledgers, cash books, vouchers, etc.) and reconciling data for recurring or special reports.

2. Maintains contacts with local banks for verifying account status, obtaining approval for cheque clearances, verifying currency exchange rates, and similar direct transactions. 

3. Compiles and verifies budget and accounting data by researching files, calculating costs, and estimating anticipated expenditures from readily available information sources.

4. Assists in preparation of the tax receipt as requested by the donors.

5. Assists in negotiating with the banks for receiving income with the advanced banking system.

6. Assists in maintaining liaisons with officials of local banks to obtain day-to-day information relevant to the PSFR activities.

7. Performs other duties, as required.

 

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

  • Completion of secondary education is required with professional/university level courses in Accounting and Finance/Business administration considered as an asset. University degree in Accounting and Finance highly preferred.
  • Minimum four years of relevant experience in the area of finance and accounting is required.
  • High fluency in written and spoken English and Thai.
  • Proven proficiency and good knowledge of computer applications.
  • Good Planning & Organizing, Analytical, and Interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details, tact and discretion.
  • Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Private Sector Fundraising field of work, an asset
