EHP Associate Admin/Finance Officer

Associate Administrative/Finance Officer - Various Locations


The Associate Administrative/Finance Officer assists in establishing and maintaining efficient administrative control mechanisms to ensure compliance with UNHCR and UN administrative, human resources and financial rules and procedures. The incumbent assists in the following:
Undertaking daily personnel and administrative operations of the office;
Implementing procedures and internal controls over expenditure, bank and cash accounts etc;
Monitoring and reporting on financial management issues including budget, monthly accounts.

Required Education and Work Experience:

- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public or Business Administration, or closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional job experience.
- Excellent computer skills, in particular in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of English with working knowledge of another UN language.

Also considered an advantage:
- Advanced University Degree or professional qualification (CPA/CIA or equivalent) in accounting or finance.
- Working experience of at least one year in a UN or intergovernmental organization.
- Good knowledge of United Nations administrative, human resources and financial rules and procedures.
- Work experience in an international (humanitarian/development) context.
