Senior Executive Coordinator - Global Operations
London | London
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Executive Coordinator to support the work of the Senior Director of Global Operations. The Global Operations Directorate oversees the work of our Regional Offices in over 10 locations around the world, established as part of exciting changes at Amnesty to help us be a truly global movement for human rights. The Senior Executive Coordinator will act as a coordination point between the Regional Offices and the support services based in London, creating and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure smooth and effective operations. Initially, this role will also ensure that the last new Regional Offices are set up and opened in a timely and efficient manner, requiring coordination and monitoring of activities by a range of operational teams.
We are looking for someone with a background in managing projects or programmes in a complex and international organization, ideally with a relevant professional qualification. Demonstrable experience of coordinating support across multiple locations, managing risk and identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively are important.
Resilience and flexibility, along with excellent communication and facilitation skills are crucial for success in this role. We are looking for someone who will "get the job done" - you will need to be able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of busy people at all levels within the organization, across different locations and cultures.
Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 7 million people who campaign for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all. We reach almost every country in the world and have:
- more than 2 million members and supporters who drive forward our fight for rights
- more than 5 million activists who strengthen our calls for justice
Our aim is simple: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, fairness, freedom and truth wherever they're denied. And whether we're applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations or online campaigning, we're all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.
At Amnesty International, we are passionate about what we do and we are proud of our achievements as a movement. To compensate our employees for the wonderful work they do, we reward them through a combination of an attractive and sector competitive salary and benefits package, high levels of engagement and involvement, and a commitment to employee development.
Benefits include 37 days annual leave (inclusive of public holidays and grace days), pension scheme, employee assistance programme, life assurance and many more benefits designed to suit your own personal lifestyle. All of this, in a professional, engaging environment.
