About us

Christian Aid has a vision to end poverty – and we believe that vision can become a reality. We are now working to transform the way we use digital technology to enable us to have an even greater global impact, dramatically improving the way we communicate internally and externally and transform the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems and processes that support our work.

About the role

Christian Aid has sought to analyse and better understand the external changes taking place within our operating environment. Through this work we have expanded our understanding of the key drivers that impact on our ability to deliver our strategy Partnership for Change. Our operating environment is increasingly complex and this is further challenged by the rapid speed of change, particularly in the field of digital technologies which are transforming the way the world communicates and connects. All of this has significant implications for the way we will need to operate in the future. Vision 2020 is how we plan to respond to this set of challenges. This role will play a significant part in ensuring the successful delivery of vision 2020. The corporate change team will consist of a number of people drawn from across the organization to enable resources to be brought to bear in pursuit of the vision. The programme manager will form a central point from which the programme can be coordinated and reported on.

About you

You will be able to quickly develop good working relationships across the organisation to facilitate the smooth running of the programme office.

You will have excellent coordinating skills in order to continue the development of the programme infrastructure to enable the monitoring of multiple cross organisational projects and to understand their interdependencies

You will have experience of managing risk and the implementation of risk management strategies to enable the head of corporate change team, and the directorate to successfully forecast and mitigate significant risks to the programme

Line management experience will be important as you will manage the work of the Vision 2020 programme officer.

You will be familiar with project management methodologies and have experience of managing projects and programmes in order to oversee the production and maintenance of programme and project documentation and reporting processes.

You will be comfortable holding people to account in ensuring that the change programme delivers according to the agreed schedule.
