ACDI/VOCA has approximately 50 projects in 30 countries and total revenues of approximately $174 million.

We are seeking a D.C.-based Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the President’s Office by providing a combination of professional and organizational support services.

Primary activities include but are not limited to: managing document flow to and from the President’s Office; assisting with formatting, printing, and dissemination of President’s Office communication; preparing briefing papers for meetings and travel; acting as a liaison to staff and external clients to the senior management; organizing and coordinating executive outreach and external relations efforts; and independently managing logistics for complex meetings and events with the board and other external parties.

In addition, this position will be responsible for managing calendars in the President’s Office by planning, scheduling, and confirming meetings. The role will involve making travel arrangements for the President’s Office, preparing expense reports, and communicating/liaising with field offices for logistics during project visits. This person will also be required to support the maintenance of the online board portal, uploading documents and requesting updates from relevant departments as required.

Minimum Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in international development, agriculture, finance, economics, business administration, or other related field. A minimum of two years in an office setting is required. The ability exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills is required. This person must have the ability to deal with ambiguity and handle stressful and sensitive situations with composure, confidence, and professional demeanor. Additionally, the role requires a demonstrated ability to be proactive with a strong attention to detail and a high level of customer/client service.
