About us

The Programme Funding Division contributes to the work of Christian Aid by mobilising and managing restricted income and supporting Country Programmes to deliver on their commitments to donors, governments and the communities that Christian Aid serves. The Programme Funding Division supports Country Programmes in fundraising and contract management, in ensuring compliance with donors' requirements and in promoting positive engagement with donors to achieve transformational growth by increased impact, scale and leverage.

About the role

The Business Development and Programme Fundraising Manager work with Country Programmes and other colleagues in Christian Aid in developing programmes, leading on raising and managing restricted institutional income and in promoting positive engagement with donors to achieve transformational growth by increasing impact, scale and leverage. This post will be based in our office in Abuja, Nigeria but will travel to project locations in Nigeria and regionally.

About you

You must have at least five (5) years’ experience in raising and managing funds from institutional donors including Global Fund, DfID, USAID and EC / ECHO. You must be fluent in written and spoken English. You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Development or any other related field. You should be skilled in preparing project reports (narrative and financial reports) and you must have excellent representation skills. On top of your excellent communication skills, you should be highly numerate and have a real analytical ability. Work experience in Nigeria will give you an additional advantage.
