Senior New Business Associate

This person will be responsible for ensuring the timeline production of both technical and cost volumes of proposals/applications for submission. In addition, the Senior New Business Coordinator will maintain the various New Business-related libraries on the SharePoint site. They will also work closely with members of the New Business Network to develop custom qualifications statements, marketing materials and/or presentations to support the pursuit of new clients.

Primary activities include but are not limited to: formatting and coordinating the editing of proposal materials in preparation for scheduled review meetings throughout the proposal development process and final submission; working with Communications & Outreach to coordinate proposal editing process and developing proposal covers/graphics; being responsible for production phase of the proposal; facilitating handover meetings of final proposal team materials; serving as lead compiler of final proposal materials; completing final formatting of proposal materials; and ensuring timely and professional submission of proposals.

In addition, this position will work with members of the New Business Network to develop marketing materials for potential donors and develop other materials to support ACDI/VOCA’s outreach efforts. It will also involve managing and updating the proposal library, past performance library, qualifications library, and proposal component library.

Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in International Development, International Relations, Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism, or other related field. We are seeking a minimum of four years of new business experience, including three years of experience in proposal editing and/or formatting, preferably in response to solicitations from USAID and other funders. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, including Styles and Adobe Pro, along with superior writing skills, and knowledge of grammar rules and Chicago Manual of Style is required. Experience working with Illustrator and/or InDesign is a plus. Experience working on agricultural production, market systems strengthening, and/or food security projects is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed, results-oriented environment at a fast pace is required. Fluency in English is required; French and/or Spanish fluency is preferred.
