Our Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs team acts to save lives and alleviate suffering of disaster-affected people by implementing sustainable programmes focused on meeting immediate and long-term needs.

Here’s where you come in:

As Advocacy Director, Syria Response, you will lead the implementation of World Vision’s Syria Response (which covers Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq) Humanitarian Advocacy strategy. This strategy will re-enforce credible engagement with donors and local/global partners.


  • Master Degree in International Development or another relevant field or a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive work experience with international exposure/external engagement on humanitarian emergencies or fragile country contexts.
  • Minimum 3 years policy and advocacy experience on humanitarian policy issues.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time.
