Main Purpose
-Contribute to the development of humanitarian affairs monitoring and advocacy activities in the Mission by supporting the Management Coordination Team through (1) micro- context analysis, (2) analysis of the humanitarian situation, (3) mapping of humanitarian actors and their operations & advocacy efforts (4) networking and (5) contributing to the implementation of advocacy strategies, according to MSF policies and values, in order to improve the humanitarian and human rights situation among population.
Accountabilities
-Collect information from a variety of written and networking sources to draft weekly analytical humanitarian briefs, with regards to context developments and medical humanitarian issues, in order to inform the mission’s decision-making.
-Support the Head of Mission and field coordinators to regularly provide up to date analysis on the humanitarian situation in order to better orientate the programmes and projects and enable an optimal response to populations in need.
-Map relevant humanitarian actors (not limited to the UN, ICRC, INGOs, regional humanitarian actors, donors, authorities, local civil society) and collect information on their operational and advocacy & communications activities and plans to adequate MSF’s activities and objectives.
-Collaborate with the Head of Mission, Humanitarian Affairs Advisor and other relevant parties to develop a defined advocacy strategy and activities to address the humanitarian situation in Syria.
-Contribute to the implementation of advocacy action plans and strategies to seek assistance and protection for affected populations in Syria.
-Maintain and update the Medical Care Under Fire database
-Organize discussions, trainings, briefings, etc. about human rights/humanitarian law issues and current and future advocacy activities to raise awareness of MSF staff regarding these matters.
-Participates in the elaboration and updating of the Country Risk Analysis

Requirements
-**Education: Essential degree in Law, Humanitarian affairs, Political Sciences or related university degree.**
-**Experience**· Essential experience with MSF or other NGOs,Essential working experience in the Middle East ,Asset experience of 1 year working in research & analysis
