NEWS: ICRC is hiring four prioritized profiles to field operations

Great opportunities if you have experience as Emergency Room Specialist, Arabic Translator, Human Resources Manager or Orthotist-prosthetist! The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is looking to recruit a number of qualified positions with these profiles to multiple field based locations. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

ICRC was founded in 1863 and is a humanitarian institution based in Geneva, Switzerland. The ICRC is a three-time Nobel Prize Laureate and is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and is one of the most widely recognized organizations in the whole world.

The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. It takes action in response to emergencies and at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation in national law.

Emergency Room Specialist

Requirements:

  • Registered doctor with a valid license to practice in your own country of origin
  • ATLS, ALS or MIMMS certification
  • Fluent in French
  • At least 2 years’ experience in emergency medicine in a trauma setting
  • Previous International humanitarian and/or development experience in low income countries (NGO's, IO or charity organization)

  • Fluent in French and English
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in an HR generalist or HR Manager function (7 years if no HR diploma)
  • International experience in the humanitarian or development sector
  • A university degree in Human Resources
  • Nationals from Asian and Scandinavian countries with French language skills are encouraged to apply

Requirements:

  • Speaks French and English
  • Recognized training as an orthotist-prosthetist (ISPO Cat.1 or equivalent)
  • Humanitarian field experience an asset
  • At least three years' professional experience in the manufacture of prostheses and orthoses
