Job description

GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist NRC in the translation and/or checking the translation of all documents without losing the spirit and content of the subject matter.
Assist NRC in the translation and reproduction of project documents, reports and other relevant documents into English and Arabic conforming to the standards required.
Assist the International Staff in the reproduction of summary or analysis of in-depth study of project documents and other relevant documents as appropriate.
Translation of laws, codes, and procedures.
Assist in the translation of official correspondence and other communications received from authorities or organizations and prepare official translations of correspondence as required.
Provide accurate interpretation of speeches and statements to and from English in official and internal meetings, workshops, seminars, training sessions, and as requested.
Assist in meeting deadlines by reproducing excellent translations of required documents.
At all times respect the anonymity of clients and confidentiality of all NRC documents.
Submit on a weekly basis activity report to immediate supervisor.
Any other reasonable task as instructed by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years working as a translator, preferably with an INGO, UN.
Excellent command of spoken and written English as well as Arabic language.
English and Arabic typing skills required.
Good writing skills, high standard of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy.
Training or prior achievements in translation will be an advantage
