UNICEF's Applications Functional Services team seeks a qualified Senior Mobile/Web Developer to assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of SAP Fiori, Android/ Apple iOS web/mobile applications.

Purpose of the Assignment

UNICEF's Applications Functional Services team seeks a qualified Senior Mobile/Web Developer to assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of SAP Fiori, Android/ Apple iOS web/mobile applications.

Assignment Tasks

The Mobile Developer will work under the supervision of an Applications Technical team leader. Related and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in design, development, implementation and maintenance of SAP Fiori, Android/Apple iOS web/mobile applications
  • Design of the UI/UX using SAP Web-IDE
  • Integrating SAP Web-IDE UI/UX with SAP using Odata services
  • Maintenance of application source code and bug tracking
  • Debug, code-review, performance tuning of developed and existing mobile applications
  • Document all completed solutions. Create and maintain documentation as per standard established
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to staff members in the team.

Expected Deliverables

The consultant will deliver completed solutions, which can be in the form of specific web/mobile applications or web services, configuration or web services, or enhancements to the existing web services. She or he will produce written technical documentation of all tasks completed. In addition, tasks will be assigned as part of the Project Plan, with specific delivery dates communicated in writing by the respective team leads.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

Education

University degree in computer science, information systems management or related field is required.

Years of relevant experience

Minimum 5 year of experience with design and development of web applications integrating with SAP.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with development and deployment of mobile applications on Android and Apple iOS platform.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with UI/UX Development using UI Frameworks, Style sheets etc.

In addition, the candidate should possess the following:

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Eclipse IDE, Android SDK/NDK, Java, SQL Lite, X-Code, Objective C and Java
  • Proficiency in development of web services and OData services
  • Knowledge in Cordova or Phone Gap preferred
  • Experience with SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori applications is preferred
  • Knowledge of building enterprise mobile applications with integration with SAP is preferred
  • Knowledge of Google and Apple application guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of Device Notification features
  • Strong understanding of full mobile development life cycle
  • Experience with utilizing device features like camera, GPS, gestures and notifications in mobile applications
  • Experience developing reusable code consuming web services (REST) and processing data using ODATA (XML/JSON)
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural and gender sensitive work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
