This will ensure the expansion of Peru Country Office’s digital presence according to the needs of Country Programme (CP) and UNICEF´s global digital media guidelines.

Purpose for the job

Under the supervision and guidance of the Communications Officer, the incumbent will support in the development of a social media strategy, aligned with the Communication and Advocacy Strategy. This will ensure the expansion of Peru Country Office's digital presence according to the needs of Country Programme (CP) and UNICEF´s global digital media guidelines.

 

Summary of key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks

 

  • Provide support in the development of a social media strategy and responsible for its implementation.
  •  
  • Support to the strengthening of the digital presence of UNICEF and position its key messages in digital media.
  •  
  • Support the goal achieving established in the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

 

  • In close collaboration with the Communications Officer, support in the development of a social media strategy in line with CP objectives and UNICEF´s global digital media guidelines, and follow-up on the implementation of the strategy.
  •  
  • Assist in the preparation of the Section's work plan, as well as develop, design, promote content and administration of the Peru Country Office digital platforms: video, audio-visual, interactive, newsletters, etc.
  •  
  • Regarding the adolescents' component, responsible for the designs and implementation of the communication through digital media with adolescents.
  •  
  • Keep UNICEF Peru website updated with relevant, self-produced information and from partners and overall information on the operational context.
  •  
  • Manage and monitor Peru Country Office digital communication channels, and report on related digital media KPIs.
  •  
  • Monitoring and reporting of UNICEF information and ads campaigns.
  •  
  • Under a children rights approach, lead with other counterparts the monitoring and evaluation of printed and audio visual media; responsible for the report with a children rights approach.
  •  
  • Manage the relation with digital managers in HQ and LACRO, and for Spanish and English websites.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

Completion of secondary education supplemented with university courses in Social Communication, Digital Communication, Online Reputation or relevant field will be an asset.

 

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in digital communication, including different platforms.

Experience in monitoring media content under a human rights approach would be an added value.

 

Language

                   Fluency of English and Spanish
