We are looking for experienced Livelihoods Assistant will be responsible for directly implementing DRC’s livelihood activities in Ma’an, Jordan.    
 
 
 
Who are we? 
 
DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
 
 
About the job 
 
Livelihoods Assistant will report directly to the Senior Livelihoods Officer for DRC’s operations in the South of Jordan with programmatic oversight by the South Program Manager based in Karak. 
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• Under direct mangment of the Senior Livelihoods Officer, develop and expand the livelihoods beneficiary database in coordination with the Ma’an outreach team.  
• Build an employee and livelihood referral network within Ma’an governorate; 
• Organize and implement all livelihood trainings, including financial literary training and any additional employability trainings; 
• Implement and monitor the micro grant distribution program; 
• Manage and expand the usership of the DRC tool library and skill sharing pilot; 
• Assist M&E staff in any livelihoods assessments, focus group discussios, or related monitoring activties; 
• Contribute to the design of new livelihood activities and/ or programs for Ma’an governorate; 
• Conduct Training of Trainers (ToTs) with partner CBOs; 
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in the broader community to ensure buy-in, cooperation, and support for DRC livelihood activities in Ma’an; 
• Provide support to the Livelihoods Officer in other livelihood-oriented programme activities as needed. 
 
 
About you 
 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Required qualifications:  
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, political/social sciences, public administration, international, development or a relevant equivalent 
 
 
Required experience
• 3 years of experience working with an NGO.

We offer 
 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a six months contract including three months’ probation period, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work on March 2017 and be willing and able to work in Ma’an -Jordan.
