The MIKE project relates to the provision of support for strengthening wildlife law enforcement at Boumba Bek National Park focal site in southeast Cameroon, in cooperation with the Le Ministère des Forêts et de la Faune (MINFOF – the Cooperating Management Agency) and with the implementation support of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, Cameroon County Programme (IUCN – the Implementing Partner).

Main Duties and Responsibilities
IUCN Driver, Boumba Bek National Park will have the following overall responsibilities:
•Provide transportation to BoumbaBek National Park management and law enforcement staff to support the implementation of the MIKE Programme Focal Site Support Package in BoumbaBek National Park.
•Carry out periodic basic vehicle maintenance and servicing, carry out a daily vehicle check and keep vehicle clean, inside and outside.
•Maintain proper vehicle records of journey time, destination and purpose, fuel consumption and passengers carried, and comply with all aspects of the IUCN Vehicle Policy.
•Confirm all movement plans and journey purposes with IUCN officer, Boumba Bek National Park, on at least a weekly basis
•Comply and ensure vehicle meets all national laws and safely standards, and report all incidents and/or accidents to the IUCN officer, Boumba Bek National Park at the earliest opportunity
Reporting Responsibilities
The reporting responsibilities of this position are as follows:
1.Technical Reporting Line: Conservator, BoumbaBek National Park, on all matters relating to day-to-day operation of the vehicle in support of law enforcement operations and the implementation of the MIKE Programme Focal Site Support Package for BoumbaBek National Park.
2.Functional Reporting Line: IUCN Technical Support Officer, BoumbaBek National Park, on all administrative matters, and matters relating to planning and scheduling activities for the implementation of the MIKE Programme Focal Site Support Package for Boumba Bek National Park.
