Cash and Distribution Senior Officer

Aim:
To support and contribute to the organisation and implementation of all distribution activities (cash and NFIs) in the designated Areas of Operations. To report on conducted distributions. 
 
Reporting lines: 
Reports to: Cash and Distribution Manager. 
Supervises: Cash and Distribution Officers and Assistants. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Attend all cash and NFI assessment and distribution activities. 
  • Organize and supervise the assessment of potential cash assistance beneficiaries and the subsequent cash distributions, which includes, i.e., selecting a suitable assessment/distribution site, liaising with local stakeholders and other DRC programmes, preparing payments in coordination with the PM and liaising with money transfer agency, ensuring full compliance with DRC’s code of conduct (transparency, accountability, independence) and cash assistance procedures. 
  • Supervise the financial clearance of every distribution in coordination with the Finance department. 
  • Ensure that Protection principles and safety requirements are duly fulfilled on the field during assessments and distributions. 
  • Update the beneficiaries’ lists after each distribution and share distribution results with the M&E department for Post-Distribution Monitoring purposes. 
  • Organize the Cash and Distribution team’s daily/weekly/monthly work plan and tasks distribution, in coordination with the PM. 
  • Coordinate with Logistics (fleet) on the team’s weekly movements. 
  • Additional tasks as requested by the PM. 
 
Qualification and Experience: 
  • University degree. 
  • 2 years of NGO/UN field experience in a similar position.

  • Leadership and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to work efficiently under stress. 
 
Languages:  
  • Arabic (Native) 
  • English (excellent level in writing and speaking)
