The "Border Management in Côte d'Ivoire" project was developed as part of the migration cooperation between Switzerland and Côte d'Ivoire, to support the Ivorian government in strengthening its border management capacities.

The first phase of the project focused on strengthening the capacities and equipment of the border police in the fight against document and identity fraud, which is one of the strategic priorities for ensuring border security and integrity. In addition, the project provided essential support to the Ivorian National Border Commission in elaborating the National Integrated Border Management Policy (PNGIF). In order to ensure the continuity and sustainability of actions already carried out, the project aims to increase the country's operational capacities in terms of effective and harmonised management of border areas, focusing on border control and the fight against irregular migration including the fight against documentary fraud, as well as risk management in border areas by strengthening the cooperation of cross-border communities with state authorities present at the borders.

Project team is consisting of Project manager and Project Officer. Staff from Vienna and Abudja office will provide Project assistant and project support team. 


  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Cote d'Ivoire border management system.
  • Experience in work with Côte d'Ivoire authorities.
  • Solid knowledge of the socio-economic and political dynamics of the country
  • Experience of working with community in hard-to-reach areas

-          Experience to implement activities on the field (in border areas, in regions of country)

-          Minimum of 3 years of experience in full project cycle implementation in the field of migration and border management at the international level.

-          Proficiency in (verbal/written) English and Frech.​
