What is Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR)?

Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR), or Disarmament, Demobilisation, Depatriation, Reintegration and Resettlement (DDRRR) are strategies for executing successful peacekeeping operations, and is generally the strategy employed by all UN Peacekeeping Operations following civil wars to reintegrate soldiers to a civil life.
